Jon Bon Jovi Rock Out During His Commencement Speech at Rutgers

Jon Bon Jovi gave one of the best commencement speeches this year. Instead of just giving an inspirational speech to motivate graduates transitioning into adulthood, he wrote them a song called “Reunion” and rocked out on stage.

"Class is over, but learning isn't," Jon Bon Jovi said to the graduating class of Rutgers University-Camden in May. Bon Jovi spoke about the power of "we" instead of "me," but really got the crowd interested in his speech when he pulled out his guitar. The "Livin' On A Prayer" singer received a standing ovation at the end.

“As the night ignites the day, go make some memories along the way,” Bon Jovi sang to Rutgers graduates with the passion of a dozen Bob Dylans. “Or write your song, sing along, love your life. Learn to laugh, dare to dance, touch the sky. Take pictures each step of the way. Make this the best of the rest of your days. Start your revolution. And I’ll see you at the reunion.”
